| The irony is that poor folk are more likely to be carrying a wad of cash; rich folks tend to use credit cards for most everything. |

I am not saying that they all jump at the opportunity to call 911, but I know a lot of them who have and do call the police for some of the most stupid crap, like I was saying with the shots fired calls they send out for firecrackers, it is not hard to tell the difference between firecrackers and a gun, they are two completely different sounds, and many a cop I have talked too round here says when they respond out to these BS calls at these rich folks houses or in their areas that they treat them like they own them or some crap. Again this is particularly relating to my area of town and the people I have interacted with, but I do love Atlanta PD, they handle every situation they are in from the government screwing em over to handling the crap they gotta handle like champs. _________________ “In all matters of opinion, our adversaries are insane.” - Oscar Wilde |

I didn't even catch what I wrote until you pointed it out... _________________ "The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." - Thomas Jefferson |

| back in the day, there was some night-time varmint hunting in the outlying areas. nowadays, don't know since i don't night hunt. but, likely, some of the night shots are the result of hunters squallin' in coyotes to the light. |

We were outside late last night with a coyote in our yard that we were trying to get rid of and heard gun shots for probably about 30 minutes or more. Started out as single shots and then progressed to automatic guns! This was about 12:30ish. |
My neighbor just told my son that we have 4 coyotes roaming our immediate area...in addition to the huge fox I saw Friday morning...and the racoons...and loads of deer...and cats...and squirells. Apparently I have my very own Yellow River Game Ranch, minus the Yellow River. |
On a serious note, its good to see nature's livestock on occasion.
The other night, I had let the cat in and about then 10 minutes later I heard a scratching at the door and then heard it again. Thinking the spouse had let the cat out again - usually Id just open it - but this time, for some reason I turned on the deck light first. There was a raccoon staring back at me. Looking at me just like the cat would, those eyes saying Im hungry - hurry up and open it already.
The raccoon appeared to have thought Hey it worked for the other one .
He just sat and stared for a good 45 seconds, realized it wasnt going to happen, then just turned and waddled off - kinda like a drunk at the wrong front door or perhaps Coprock after a hoppin Saturday night. _________________ Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll - order and quantities subject to change without notice.

been lots of "documented" reports of rabid raccoons in our neighboring county to the north, Hall. any raccoon acting strangely is suspect.
now that've become more urbanized, the raccoon population is building up in the suburbs. the way we farm has changed. Heck, it's not even the suburbs any more, it's an urban environment. |
