To the Engine crew dispatched to Greenfield Estates, in the Collins Hill Community about two hours ago... Embarassed "my bad"

Sorry for the late night run, but the batteries in our downstairs smoke detector kept causing it to emit an "alert buzz" so I had to change them... unfortunately, afterwards I had to run a [TEST] of the system. I followed all of the directions and I thought that everything was fine until I heard what sounded like a mack-truck in our driveway!

That's when I woke up the hubby and sent him to issue a family "mea culpa"... Sad I know, I know- BAD WIFE!! Again, sorry for disturbing you guys... my brother-in-law in a 8-year veteran of N.O.F.D., so I'm well aware of the disturbance I caused y'all.

It didn't help that our phones are programmed NOT to ring after 9:30 p.m., but we haven't had any problems since setting them up that way in 2004... seriously! Hope you guys were able to get back to a little R&R... take care!

Not to worry, they have their ways of dealing with it.

C'mon now, I know I wasn't on top of my game last night... but the last couple of weeks have been BRUTAL!
Loss my Mother... upon returning to GA, everyone in the house came down w/ a bad case of the flu... hubby had extended drill duty on base, then had to turn around & report for civilian job, which means I was "on" 24/7 while trying to cope w/ my grief... so cut a girl some slack, would ya'! Rolling Eyes

Nina, ZZ was just joking with you. I understand you going through alot, my condolences for loosing your mother. But even tho you woke them up, I'm sure they'd rather come there and make sure everything is fine then to be there for a fire and you loose everything. Firefighters like fire, that's a reason why they're firefighters. But I also know that they don't want someone's house or car to burn up either. But hopefully they got some more sleep.

Oh, I knew they were teasing me... but I just wanted to explain why I decided it was a "good idea" to reset my fire alarm sensors @ 1:40 in the morning!
... thank you for your kindness. Wink

Cind
I used fake names when dating. Dating can be very intense. Complicated ,confusing ,and a meeting of all the voices in my head too. Tying them to a tree wasn't my idea. It was "My" idea. Now where is that Thorazine ?

Well it would be unfair not to reveal ... you're not the only family that had the "teams" come out .. One July 4th a few years ago ( Not in Gwinnett) we had a gas grill go up... The FD responded - all business going in - job done - :and then when all was safe - snickers going out Embarassed

I personally made up for it the following year, by stoping by the station, thanking them again and then informing them I was going to grill again. Before anyone could snicker and without missing a beat - I asked them how they liked their steaks - just in case. The common laughter had by all was well worth it.. Laughing
