I was just pointing out what I thought was likely it, because I know when I read that particular statement, I paused and was like grrrr.
To be totally fair, it's a true and fair statement that some motorcycle riders have bad attitudes. Heck some Prius drivers have bad attitudes, some pedestrians have bad attitudes, sometimes "I" have a bad attitude...but I didn't get bent out of shape from reading what Geepurs wrote, though several instances popped into my mind of times of being on the back of a motorcycle and some really close calls because of people who didn't seem to look at all, let alone look twice.
Many more riders are out now than used to be and I think multitudes of people are more aware because of it.
I just don't like it when a statement is too generalized or too broadly based. It takes away from the meaning and generally loses its target, leaving little to no meaning, causing the bulk of the people who read it to feel reactionary.
So, all in all, I wasn't pointing a finger at anyone, just quoting what I perceived to be the original thingamajig that lumped all or most of the motorcycle crowd into one category. |

And I know I don't have the most pleasant attitude. But it's changing as well as other things in the new year. I'm not saying that I'm not a nice guy, I really am. But I come off strong at times.
Eagle - you have a great attitude… really … you hang out here ...
Wouldn’t be the same without you
(I kinda like the sarcasm you serve at times)

I don't have a bad attitude. I just wish you slow bastards in cars would stay off the road so I can have a fun, spirited ride without getting hit.
Oh, and when you're on 400, stay out of the left lane.
I need to get to the mountains quickly and don't need you pulling in front of me when I'm doing a buck 60.
I get tired of pulling my seat out of my ass.

I rarely get on 400 but you're right, i'm a slow driving bastard in my car (usually) and i'm about dang tired of people telling me I drive like a granny.
That car is designed to look fast even when it's sitting still, and a real biatch to insure, so anybody who doesn't like my driving, I say eff em! |

| I know its old topic but just wanted to let you know that he did pass away his name was Taylor Woodall. I grew up with him and his little brother. He had just recently gotten the bike and was driving way too fast. I am very close with his family and was with the family that night. |

Doug19 - Sorry to hear about your friend. It doesn't make it any less painful, but at least his family realizes that it was this guy's own fault. Just a quick, off-the-cuff kind of question... Did his family or his insurance company sue the people that hit him? I'm just curious... |

| The real question should be whether the vicitims in the minivan sued the guys family or insurance company. At over 100mph, this guy apparently didn't look twice..... |

My point exactly. My mini-van, with my husband and I in it, was hit by two bodies flying through the air. They came off of a motorcycle that was hit by another car. We were just sitting at a red light. Now, the driver of the motorcycle is suing us and we've been told the estate of his passenger will be filing papers by the end of the month as well. |
