That's why we have this thread. There's a saying that "everyone in Florida has a story." That's a nice way of saying "everyone in Florida is batsh*t crazy."

My personal theory is that everyone in the continental US that has a reason for wanting leave their home town (because they are crazy and no one wants them around) looks for a "new life" in Florida.

I hadn't looked at it that way. It does make sense though. I'd love to see some stats on the natives vs the replants. That would be an interesting study.
